Abstract:Objective To discuss the advantages and surgical experience of deroofing surgery of outer cartilaginous cyst wall for the treatment of auricle pseudocyst.Methods104 patients with auricular pseudocyst were included in the study. Of them, 58 cases underwent deroofing surgery of outer cartilaginous cyst wall (treatment group), and 46 cases were treated with incision and drainage of the anterior wall of cyst and local pressure dressing (control group). Efficiency rates of the two groups were compared.ResultsThe effective rates of the treatment group and the control group were 100% and 84.8% respectively. The difference of the effective rate between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). ConclusionsWith good reliable effect, deroofing surgery of outer cartilaginous cyst wall is worthy of clinic popularization in the treatment for auricle pseudocyst.
