Abstract:ObjectiveTo study the effect of health education on cognitive level of disease in patients with allergic rhinitis (AR).Methods133 patients with AR in the selected condition were randomly divided into control group and experimental group. Health education programs (collective and individual) were given to the patients of the experimental group, while those of the control group were only informed to come back to the hospital after the medication had run out. All the patients were followed up for a period of 12 months. The scores of questionnaire in common sense of AR and fractional variations of patients who were willing to accept the treatment were compared between the two groups.ResultsThe increment of the scores of common sense, drug treatment, personal protection correlated with AR, and the percentage of partner treatment in the experimental group were greatly higher than those in control group (P<0.05).ConclusionsTo strengthen health education which can significantly improve the cognitive level of disease in AR patients may improve their compliance.
