ObjectiveTo explore the clinical effect of heterogeneous acellular dermis matrix(HADM) to repair of nasal septal perforation.Methods9 patients of nasal septal perforation received repair of perforation with heterogeneous acellular dermis matrix (oral cavity repair membrane). All the patients were followed up periodically. The survival situation was observed, and the impact on the patients was evaluated.ResultsThe perforations in all 9 cases got healed with initial repair. All patients got good nasal ventilation with relief of symptoms. During the followup period (1 to 3 years after operation), no perforation recurred. The graft bed was pink in color with mild scar. No obvious local or systemic complications were observed.ConclusionsAs a substitute of autologous skin graft, heterogeneous acellular dermis matrix oral repair membrane can be used for repair septal perforation satisfactorily.
