Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the influential factors in postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea following transnasosphenoidal resection of pituitary adenoma.MethodsClinical data of 129 cases with pituitary adenomas resected via transnasosphenoidal approach was analyzed retrospectively.ResultsPostoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea occurred in 9 cases. The number of operation, intraoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea and experience of surgeon were associated with the occurrence of postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea(P<0.05).ConclusionThe number of operation, intraoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea and experience of surgeon are risk factors in postoperative cerebrospinal fluid rhinorrhea in transnasosphenoidal resection of pituitary adenoma.
