Abstract: ObjectiveTo investigate the application and clinical effect of rotation flap in defect repair after resection of basal cell carcinoma of external nose.Methods11 cases with basal cell carcinoma of external nose underwent surgical resection under local anesthesia in our department from Jan 2013 to Oct 2016.Rotation flap was applied to repair the postoperative defects in all patients.ResultsThe flap survived with primary wound healing in all 11 cases. All the patients were basically content with the postoperative appearance. Postoperative followup for 1 to 3 years showed neither recurrence nor metastasis.ConclusionWith advantages of good effect and simplicity in operation, rotation flap is worthy of clinical application for defect repair after resection of basal cell carcinoma of external nose in primary hospitals.
