ObjectiveThe etiology of Meniere's disease（Ménière’s disease，MD） has not been fully elucidated. In recent years, people have made more indepth studies on the mechanism of endolymphatic hydrops (ELH). This article reviews endolymphatic clearance, endolymphatic transport disorders, hormonal effects,inner ear pressure regulation disorders,hemodynamic imbalance, allergic mechanisms, autoimmune mechanisms, viral infections, and genetic predisposition.
