ObjectiveTo sort out main approaches to the diagnosis of adductor spasmodic dysphonia (ADSD). Auditoryperceptual features of ADSD and other related voice disorders were described, compared and analyzed. Key points for differential diagnosis of ADSD were summarized. Diagnosis of ADSD largely depends on auditoryperceptual features, but clinicians also need to integrate information such as case history, change of symptoms, signs etc. for accurate clinical judgement.
