Abstract:ObjectiveTo explore the treatment of sudden deafness in puerperal women, which will accumulate the experience of treatment.MethodsTwo cases of puerperal sudden deafness were selected. The classification of deafness and the level of hearing loss were analyzed. The special period of the patients was fully taken into account. The two patients were treated with 2~3 weeks of shortterm weaning plus medication for the microcirculation of the inner ear. The methods of improving inner ear microcirculation, anticoagulation, nutritive nerve and oral glucocorticoid were used.ResultsSatisfactory therapeutic results were obtained in 2 patients. In case 1, the vertigo disappeared 7 days after drug withdrawal, and the hearing of the affected ear was improved by about 50 dB at each frequency. The second case was returned to the doctor 7 days after drug withdrawal, and the vertigo was basically relieved, the tinnitus was relieved, and the hearing of each frequency of the affected ear was improved by about 30 dB. Both patients resumed lactation 7 days after drug withdrawal, and their reexamination 1 month later showed normal neonatal development, stable hearing of the patients and no further decline.ConclusionsThe drug treatment of sudden deafness in pregnancy is mainly based on nutritional nerve, combined with improving circulation, scavenging free radicals, improving mood, adjusting sleep, etc. And the emphasis is on early treatment. It is recommended to feed milk for in the short term, and cut off breast milk during the medication period, and resume lactation one week after drug withdrawal, which will not cause neonatal malnutrition.
