Abstract:Cholesteatoma of middle ear is one of the common diseases in otolaryngology. The incidence of middle ear cholesteatoma in children is 3-15/100,000 . Middle ear cholesteatoma has a high incidence in China, and there are many reports about clinical cholesteatoma. Hairy polyp is the most common congenital tumor in oropharynx, and it is a rare double germ layer dysplasia, including ectoderm and mesoderm components. It has been reported that although the incidence of hairy polyps is higher in patients with abnormal first and second branchial arches, such as patients with branchial-auricular-renal syndrome and auricular atresia, there is no clear connection between hairy polyps and any specific syndrome . However, cholesteatoma of middle ear in children caused by eustachian tube hair polyp is rare clinically.
