Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical effect of triamcinolone acetonide and econazole cream combined with mupirocin ointment in the treatment of Otitis externa mycotica. Methods A total of ninety-two patients with Otitis externa mycotica diagnosed and treated in outpatient department of the 904th Hospital from March 2018 to March 2019 were randomly divided into treatment group and control group(46 cases in each group). The treatment group was treated with triamcinolone acetonide econazole cream combined with mupirocin ointment, while the control group was treated with triamcinolone acetonide econazole cream alone. All patients were treated once a day for 1 week, and the effective rate and recurrence rate of 2 groups were compared. And the clinical efficacy and recurrence rate of the two groups were compared. Results the total effective rate of the treatment group was 95.65%, which was significantly higher than that of the control group (82.60%). The difference was statistically significant between two group(P<0.05). There was no recurrence in the treatment group, but 6 cases recurrence in the control group after 3 months follow-up. The recurrence patients underwent bacterial and fungal culture and drug sensitivity test. There were 4 cases of them complicated with bacterial infection (2 cases of proteus infection, 2 cases of Staphylococcus aureus infection),who were treated with one course of triamcinolone and econazole cream combined with mupiroxin ointment. The other 2 patients were still infected with Aspergillus and refused other treatment. Conclusion Triamcinolone acetonide econazole cream combined with mupirocin ointment has a significant clinical effect in the treatment of Otitis externa mycotica, which is worthy of clinical promotion.
