Abstract:Chronic rhinosinusitis is one of the most common chronic inflammatory diseases of the upper respiratory tract, in which eosinophilic chronic rhinosinusitis (ECRS) has a high treatment resistance rate and recurrence rate. At present, its etiology and pathogenesis are still unclear. The establishment and application of the animal model of ECRS is an ideal mean to study the pathogenesis and the exploration of new treatment. Mice are commonly used modeling animals, but there is still a lack of a recognized mature and stable murine model of ECRS in basic research, which has become a key bottleneck in the analysis of the pathogenesis, precise treatment, drug screening, diagnosis and prognosis of the disease. This paper reviews the commonly used murine models of ECRS and dose a summary study on their modeling principle, methods and steps, evaluation index and model application, in order to provide methods and theoretical basis for the successful establishment of the murine model and related experimental research.
