Abstract:Objective To collect clinical and surgical data of children with neonatal laryngopharyngeal masses and to discuss the clinical manifestations and surgical methods of children with laryngopharyngeal masses. Methods By retrospectively analyzing three cases of neonatal laryngopharyngeal masses seen at the Second Hospital of Lanzhou University from 2020 to 2022, we summarized and analyzed the clinical manifestations and treatment methods of children with neonatal laryngopharyngeal masses. Results All three cases presented with difficulty in breathing or sucking, and all of them underwent supported laryngoscope excision of pharyngeal masses with the assistance of nasal endoscopy. Conclusion The use of nasal endoscopy can help to clarify the base of the mass and its relationship with the surrounding tissues, determine the scope of surgical resection, and perform pharyngeal mass resection under supported laryngoscopy assisted by nasal endoscopy, which can remove the tumor completely, stop the bleeding adequately, and avoid complications.
