Abstract:Allergic rhinitis (AR) is a non-infectious inflammatory disease of the nasal mucosa caused by excessive activation of helper T cells 2 (Th2) lymphocytes. It is the most common chronic refractory disease in otorhinolaryngology. In recent years, the prevalence rate of AR has increased significantly, more and more scholars have begun to pay attention to AR. In clinical practice, vitamin E has been widely used to prevent and treat different diseases. Basic scientific studies have found that there is an important relationship between vitamin E and allergic rhinitis, which can reduce the occurrence of immune allergic reaction. In this paper, the metabolism and mechanism of vitamin E and the relationship between vitamin E and AR were reviewed. The purpose of the paper is to provide some theoretical guidance for the application of vitamin E in AR.
