Objective? Discuss the application effect of facial advancement flap in the repair of nasal dorsum skin defect. Methods The clinical data of 5 patients with skin defects after resection of nasal dorsum skin tumors admitted to the Department of Otorhinolaryngology of Taizhou People"s Hospital from January 2019 to June 2023 were collected. All skin defects were repaired using facial advancement flaps. Results The incision margins of all 5 patients were negative. The size of the defect was 1.0 × 1.0 cm to 2.5 × 3.0 cm. There was no flap necrosis. After 10 to 36 months of follow-up, there was no tumor recurrence, the postoperative scars were not obvious, and no complications were observed. Conclusion? The facial advancement flap has a simple surgical method, sufficient blood supply to the flap, good healing, no obvious scars, and is a relatively ideal method for repairing nasal dorsum skin defects.
