Abstract:Objective To explore the characteristics of different repair methods for local tissue defects after resection of nasal and facial basal cell carcinoma. Methods From 2012 to December 2021, 30 patients with nasal and facial basal cell carcinoma who were surgically treated in our department were included. The lesion sites included the dorsum of the nose, nasal tip, nasal alae, face, etc. The defect sites were repaired by nasolabial random flaps, advancement flaps, Z-shaped flaps, V-Y advancement flaps, rhomboid flaps, etc. according to the principle of individualization. Results All the 30 flaps survived without infection or necrosis. Two cases had mild poor healing and healed after dressing change. Conclusion For external nasal and facial defects, according to their location, size, and shape, designing and harvesting flaps from adjacent sites for repair is a simple method with a high flap survival rate, a low complication rate, and satisfactory cosmetic results after surgery.
