Abstract:Functional rhinoplasty requires both functional repair and aesthetic refinement. Constrained by factors such as subjective aesthetic standards, complex anatomical structures, and uncertainty in postoperative healing, it presents clinical challenges including difficult control of surgical outcomes and low guarantee of patient satisfaction. In recent years, artificial intelligence has developed rapidly and has gradually penetrated all aspects of medical practice. This review summarizes the current applications of artificial intelligence in functional rhinoplasty, demonstrating its evolution from a conceptual auxiliary tool to an integrated clinical tool, covering preoperative consultation, surgical planning, intraoperative assistance, and postoperative outcome evaluation. Artificial intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept in functional rhinoplasty, but a rapidly advancing practical technology that is reshaping the entire diagnosis and treatment workflow for patients undergoing rhinoplasty. Ultimately, this review envisions a future where the professional expertise of surgeons collaborates synergistically with artificial intelligence technologies to jointly elevate the overall standard of functional rhinoplasty.
